Position Summary
The Manager of HR Systems & Process is a strategic leadership role responsible for the end-to-end governance, architectural optimization, and continuous evolution of the Dayforce HCM platform. As the primary owner of the Dayforce ecosystem, this role drives the digitization of HR operations, ensures rigorous regulatory compliance, and oversees data security and records retention across the enterprise. This role serves as the bridge between HR strategy and technical execution, ensuring Dayforce remains a scalable, high-performance asset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Dayforce Ownership & Governance
- Act as the authoritative Subject Matter Expert (SME) and enterprise owner for all Dayforce modules and functionality.
- Architect and enforce HR systems governance standards, including complex security roles, access controls, and multi-level approval workflows.
- Conduct comprehensive audits of current Dayforce configurations to proactively mitigate data risks and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
- Lead cross-functional partnerships with Payroll, IT, Legal, and external vendors to ensure Dayforce supports broader business objectives while maintaining HR ownership.
- Provide necessary training to other Teams Members, sharing expertise to improve team skills.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Leadership
- Engineer Dayforce processes to ensure absolute compliance with federal, state, local, and specific station/airport authority regulations.
- Direct the configuration of system controls for recordkeeping, training documentation, and credential tracking to maintain constant audit readiness.
- Manage the response to internal and external HR system audits, serving as the lead for preparing technical documentation and evidence for audits.
- Ensure the integrity of system-based audit trails and historical documentation.
Process Transformation & Digitization
- Direct the design and implementation of digital end-to-end HR processes within Dayforce to eliminate manual and paper-based workflows.
- Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide library of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR systems and data controls.
- Standardize global HR data definitions and documentation practices to ensure organizational consistency.
- Champion system adoption by developing change management strategies for HR, management, and employees.
Data Privacy, Security & Integrity
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Payroll to align HR data privacy and security protocols with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Oversee HR data retention schedules within Dayforce, ensuring compliant purging and archiving.
- Monitor system access and usage patterns to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to data protection standards.
- Lead incident response efforts and remediation for any HR-related data issues.
Continuous Improvement & Release Management
- Direct post-implementation stabilization, configuration corrections, and process alignment following new module rollouts.
- Oversee the management of Dayforce releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and change management.
- Remain at the forefront of Dayforce's roadmap and aviation-specific compliance trends to recommend proactive system enhancements.
- Develop and monitor advanced HR dashboards and compliance reporting to support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of hands-on Dayforce experience, specifically in advanced system administration, configuration, and architecture.
- Expertise: Proven track record in HR process design, system governance, and large-scale digitization initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience supporting HR systems within highly regulated environments (e.g., aviation, transportation, or manufacturing).
- Compliance: Demonstrated success in leading compliance audits and translating regulatory requirements into system logic.
- Leadership: Ability to operate as a high-impact, single-point owner within a lean HR environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dayforce/Ceridian Certified Consultant certifications (highly preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of data privacy laws and records retention programs.
