Position Overview
The Director of Revenue Management leads the comprehensive revenue strategy for Wild Dunes Resort, including both hotels and participating Condominium Residences of Sweetgrass Inn. This role directs the Revenue Management and Reservations teams to maximize topline revenue across all segments—rooms, food & beverage, spa, golf, and recreation—through data‑driven pricing, distribution management, and strategic inventory utilization.
This leader will outperform competitive markets through disciplined analysis, proactive forecasting, targeted marketing support, and strong cross‑departmental alignment. The Director acts as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance while providing coaching and development to the Reservations Director, Revenue Manager, Revenue Analysts, the Reservations team, and the Pre‑Arrival Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pricing, distribution, and inventory strategies to maximize revenue across all resort departments.
- Lead competitive benchmarking to capture market share and maintain rational, profitable pricing positions.
- Oversee revenue analytics to produce business intelligence that supports short‑ and long‑term resort strategies.
- Deliver accurate forecasts that guide departmental goals and ensure the resort exceeds financial targets.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to align promotions, channel strategies, and campaigns with revenue objectives.
- Mentor and support revenue‑related teams to ensure consistent execution, development, and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize group mix, transient performance, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Serve as a key decision‑maker on system enhancements, transitions, and best‑practice processes—especially in advance of the Opera system migration in 2026.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years of management experience in hotel or resort revenue management; Director‑level experience strongly preferred due to property complexity.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Springer‑Miller Systems preferred; Opera transition experience a plus.
- Must be property‑based or willing to relocate to coastal South Carolina.
