About the Job
The Global Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager – Fuel Services plays a key role in executing tactical and strategic procurement activities that support efficient acquisition of fuel services across the business. This position manages sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, contract activities, and commercial negotiations while helping ensure cost effectiveness, operational reliability, and long-term value creation. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve supply chain performance, support operational objectives, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
Core Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
- Track market trends and supplier developments to identify sourcing opportunities, mitigate risks, and support category strategies.
- Build cost models, financial analyses, and business cases to support supplier selection, sourcing initiatives, and negotiation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating commercial terms that improve performance, value, and cost efficiency.
- Manage RFQ processes, evaluate supplier capabilities, and support sourcing decisions based on quality, cost, service, compliance, and risk considerations.
- Prepare and communicate sourcing performance reports, performance scorecards, dashboards, and key metrics for leadership review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business, operational, quality, compliance, and financial objectives.
- Participate in strategic supply chain initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities, enhancing processes, and supporting scalable operational solutions.
- Serve as a key sourcing liaison across Fuel Technical Operations, Operations, Legal, Finance, Fuel Accounting and other stakeholder groups to ensure effective execution of procurement and sourcing activities.
- Support fuel automation, performance management, and other initiatives that improve service reliability, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support the governing of airport fuel consortia, including coordination of voting matters, commercial negotiations, budget oversight, and stakeholder alignment.
Please note: This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role with an in-office requirement of 3 days per week.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, contract management, or a related discipline
- Experience managing supplier relationships, evaluating supplier performance, and negotiating commercial terms
- Experience conducting sourcing analysis, cost modeling, financial analysis, and data-driven decision making
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, supply chain analysis, and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

- Experience with supply chain risk management and supplier development initiatives
- Experience designing KPIs, performance scorecards, and sourcing metrics
- Knowledge of process automation and supply chain traceability practices
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance
- Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them for research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving.
- Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to company policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.
The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
