PhocusWire Jobs: Privacy & Data Protection Agreement

1. PARTNERSHIP & DATA ROLES

The PhocusWire Jobs platform is a collaborative service. PhocusWire (a Northstar Travel Media brand) provides the industry-leading media environment, while Stryyde (legal entity: WeRaizUp Kft., 1054 Budapest, Honvéd u 8 l.em 2, Hungary) operates the technical recruitment infrastructure, database management, and candidate sourcing.

  • Joint Responsibility: For the initial collection of your data on this site, PhocusWire and Stryyde act as Joint Controllers.
  • Independent Processing: Once you submit an application, Stryyde acts as the primary Data Controller for the management of your candidate profile.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In compliance with global privacy standards, we collect only the data necessary to facilitate your job search:

  • Direct Identifiers: Name, email, phone number, and physical address.
  • Professional History: CVs, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, skills, and education history.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and interaction data (via GA4 and Hotjar) to ensure platform security and functionality.

3. GDPR & UK-GDPR COMPLIANCE (For EU/UK Users)

As a Hungarian legal entity, WeRaizUp Kft. processes your data under the following legal bases:

  • Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): To create your account and submit applications.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): For sharing your profile with employers beyond a specific application.
  • Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): For platform security and service improvements.
  • Data Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data ("Right to be Forgotten"). Contact hello@stryyde.jobs to exercise these rights.

4. CCPA/CPRA & US STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS (For US Users)

This section applies to residents of California, Virginia, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws:

  • Right to Know: You may request a list of the categories of personal information we have collected and shared.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Stryyde does not sell your personal information for monetary value. We "share" data only with employers you choose to engage with.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not provide a different level of service if you exercise your privacy rights.
  • Sensitive Information: We do not collect "Sensitive Personal Information" (e.g., social security numbers, precise geolocation) unless explicitly provided by you in a resume.

5. DATA SHARING & THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE

To operate this platform, your data may be processed by our trusted sub-processors:

  • Infrastructure: JBoard (Platform), Simvoly (Hosting).
  • Operations: Monday.com, Zapier, and Airtable.
  • Employers: When you click "Apply," your full profile is shared with the hiring company, who then becomes an independent controller of that data.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Data collected via PhocusWire Jobs may be stored in the United States or the European Economic Area (EEA). We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure that your data receives the same level of protection regardless of where it is processed.

7. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY

We retain your profile data as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for more than 24 months, we may anonymize or delete your data unless legal obligations require otherwise. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your information during transit and at rest.
