đ§đť đť About the role
First things first: you want to know what youâre actually applying for. Itâs impossible to capture every nuance of a role â especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews â but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:
A lot of Business Development Manager roles are about stepping into something that already exists and keeping it moving. This one is a little different.
Youâll be joining Taliaâs North American BD team at an exciting stage of growth. We have the team, the market opportunity, and strong momentum, but we are still building a more consistent and scalable outbound playbook. That is a big part of where this role comes in. Your focus will be to help shape that playbook and then lead the coaching, pipeline generation, and performance of a team of 6 to 8 BDRs and SDRs across the East Coast. This is a people leadership role. You wonât carry an individual quota. Instead, youâll be responsible for creating the environment, structure, and support that helps the team deliver.
â
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
The team
Lead the day-to-day performance of 4 BDRs and 2 SDRs, with 2 more hires planned. Youâll create clarity, build trust, and help people perform at their best through strong coaching, clear expectations, and consistent support.
The playbook
We already have some good foundations in place, but there is still work to do to build a more repeatable and scalable outbound motion. Youâll help shape that across areas like messaging, sequences, objection handling, qualification, and day-to-day execution.
The pipeline
BDRs are focused on outbound pipeline generation. SDRs are focused on inbound speed-to-lead. Both are working toward the same goal: qualified meetings booked. This role will be responsible for building the structure and rhythm that supports those outcomes.
The tech stack
Gong, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn all play an important role in how the team works. Weâre looking for someone who is comfortable using these tools, improving adoption, and helping the team get more value from them through coaching and guidance.
The data
CRM hygiene, SLA management, forecasting accuracy, and weekly reporting all matter here. Strong operational habits are an important part of helping the team perform consistently.
What success looks like in this role:
At 30 days
You understand the product, the team, and where the biggest opportunities are. Youâve started to build relationships, identified a few quick wins, and begun to improve the teamâs rhythm.
At 60 days
A first version of the playbook is in place. Your 1:1 cadence is working well. Expectations feel clearer, coaching is more consistent, and the team can feel the difference.
At 6-12 months
Pipeline generation is more consistent and performance is stronger. Reps are developing well, team stability is healthy, and the function is operating with more confidence, structure, and clarity.
đ¤ Youâll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you
- Youâve built things before, not just maintained them
- Youâve helped create playbooks, improved underperforming areas, and supported teams through change in a practical and thoughtful way.
- You use data well
- Youâre comfortable with funnel metrics, leading indicators, and using data to understand where support or changes are needed.
- Youâre confident with tools
- Youâve used tools like Gong, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo in a meaningful way, and you know how to help others use them more effectively too.
- Youâve managed BDR or SDR teams before
- Youâve hired, developed, and supported people properly, including having honest conversations, creating structure, and helping people grow.
- Youâre comfortable working in evolving environments
- You donât need everything to be fully built before you can be effective. Youâre comfortable bringing structure, calm, and focus as things grow.
- Hospitality tech experience is helpful, but not essential
- Weâre more interested in how you lead, coach, and build than in having a perfect sector match.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing BDR or SDR teams in a SaaS or tech environment
- A strong track record in pipeline generation and top-of-funnel performance
- Confidence with team metrics, coaching, and operational discipline
- Fluent English
- Based in Dallas, TX, or willing to relocate
